TASAR class, two-person boat, ready to sail/race immediately in AIRLIE BEACH, Queensland for sale

The TASAR is a two-person dinghy that is easy enough for beginners to sail (* in light winds to start with), but fast enough and technical enough to keep the experienced sailor keenly racing. The TASAR class is very active, with national titles regularly attracting in excess of 90 boats and races won or lost by fractions of a second.
If you're not a racing sailor, then the TASAR is also a great boat for a parent/child or husband/wife pair to sail for fun. It's light and responsive, but easy to tame once you have some practice behind you. If you're novice sailor then stick to light wind days to start (and seek out other tasar sailors to give you hints and advice) - but with six months to a year of regular practice you'll be looking forward to those 15 - 20 knot days when the boat will get up out of the water planing and leave a trail of spray behind you.
Unlike many older designs with similar performance, the TASAR doesn't need super athletic prowess to sail. Many TASAR sailors carry on sailing well into their retirement years (and win races) - and at the other end of the age-range, teenage crews do well too.

Now, about *this* boat:
* In excellent condition. Cockpit floor recently re-painted/re-gripped.
* Actively sailed and raced until recently. All fittings in perfect working order. Start sailing right away!
* New RF7 swivelling cam-cleat on mainsheet
* One set of Dacron sails. Jib near new, Mainsail has only had three seasons of use.
* Near new alloy beach trolley - worth $600.
* Near new deck cover - worth $300.
* Top mast section replaced three years ago
* Rudder, Stock and Tiller replaced three years ago. New style cast rudder stock and carbon tiller. Rudder stock has been modified by a local engineering firm to reinforce it and prevent the dreaded cracking (and eventual breakage) that comes with these new style rudder stocks.
* Road trailer not included. I have a suitable trailer (registered until June 2014) available for $400 if you require it.
I travel up and down the Queensland coast occasionally. Depending on your location I may be able to deliver the boat for an agreed fee.
