Fastback catamarans are best noted for their sailing qualities (especially in light airs), sea kindly manners and loyal following. Their hull shape, light weight and draft allows responsive manoeuvring and easy tacking making the Fastback 32's fun to sail (see videos) A central Yanmar diesel with pivoting drive leg, protective keel strakes, retracting dagger board, kick up rudders and 0.5m draft allows for very shallow depth exploring, escapes or beaching. Having had two previous owners I bought my boat as an easily maintained ideal small live-aboard coastal cruiser in 2011. Based in the Whitsundays I can deliver boat anywhere in Queensland.
Boat has been kept lightweight and airy. Professionally factory fitted out with varnished timber and cupboards. Forward deck water catchment system plumbed to water tanks can also be used as tank filler inlets. Rear deck seats designed to incorporate BBQ. Because boat is fun to sail and easy to handle solo with little fuss in all conditions I find I sail on a whim. Due for a sand and anti-foul hence hull can be thoroughly inspected bare.
